    About the Translation

For a translation to do justice to the Quran and capture its elegance and vigor, it has to be accurate, smooth, eloquent, and accessible. Unlike most popular translations, The Clear Quran masterfully passes on all counts. To achieve accuracy, the translator has made use of the greatest and most celebrated works of old and modern tafsir (Quran commentaries), and shared the work with several Imams in North America for feedback and insight. Along with informative footnotes and Sura (chapter) introductions, verses have been grouped and titled based on their themes for a better understanding of the chapters, their main concepts, and internal coherence. The Meaning of the Holy Qur’an in Today’s English Extended Study Edition

    36.50
    Author: Yahiya Emerick
    Publisher: Amirah Publishing
    ISBN : 9781450549530
-Children Friendly, Easy and Simple Translation of the Quran
    – The Holy Qur’an is a religious scripture held sacred by over a billion people around the globe. Its message is considered timeless, even as it was revealed at a definite time in history. Countless scholars have studied and explained the meaning and the message of this book for many generations, and in many cases their understandings were shaped by the cultural and political forces around them. For the first time ever, the Qur’an has been translated and explained from the perspective of an American Muslim scholar. Yahiya Emerick, drawing upon the best in the classical Muslim tradition including such luminaries as Ibn Kathir, Zamakhshari, al-Ghazali, Ibn Taymiyyah, Razi and others, has crafted a thoroughly updated work emphasizing the historical and cultural background of the man who first taught this message – Muhammad, the son of ‘Abdullah, peace be upon him. This translation and commentary provides a complete array of resources to help the reader understand the context in which the revelations were revealed. This in turn allows everyday readers to “step back in time” and “experience” the message along with those who heard it for the first time. Different points of view on interpretation and application are discussed and given equal respect, while all background information on the many nations and peoples that are mentioned are fully explored. This truly is a tafseer for our time. “Truly, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of night and day are signs for people who think deeply. They remember God while standing, sitting or lying down on their sides, and they contemplate the creation of the heavens and earth, (saying), “Our Lord! You didn’t create all of this for nothing.
    – This is a translation of the Qur’an into modern English with a complete suite of commentary, introductory materials, biographies and a multitude of other resources. The commentary is designed to bring the understanding of Islam into the modern era.

The Qur’an: A Translation For the 21st Century, Adil Salahi

    16.99

The Qur’an A Translation for the 21st Century
    By Adil Salahi
    Paperback 455 Pages
    ISBN: 9780860377252
    Publisher: The Islamic Foundation

An Expressive and Moving New Translation of the Qur’an, Written in Simple and Straightforward Form For The 21st Century Reader.

    About The Book

The Qur’an is God’s book, and He says that it sets things in clear and easy to understand language. Its rule throughout is brevity of expression and breadth of meaning. Yet, its literary excellence is far superior to anything Arabic has ever known.

Millions of people have learned its entirety by heart throughout every generation since it was first revealed. Nearly every Muslim memorises parts of it, and most recite a portion of it every day. No book, religious or otherwise, is read and recited or listened to as frequently as the Qur’an. Those who recite it in Arabic are always eager to do more, aware of its inimitable clarity, rhythm and brevity, yet modern English readers have had limited access to its meanings, with most reliant upon translations prepared in archaic English, unappealing to the contemporary reader.

Adil Salahi’s translation attempts to put the meanings of the Qur’an in clear modern English, making it easier for the twenty-first century reader to gather the full message of the Qur’an, without having to read numerous footnotes or resort to books of commentary.

    About The Author

Adil Salahis writings include the acclaimed Muhammad: Man and Prophet and Pioneers of Islamic Scholarship, and the English translation of the 18-volume In the Shade of the Qur’an. His main career has been in radio and print journalism, and for over 30 years he was editor of ‘Islam in Perspective’, a twice-weekly full-page column in the Arab News, a Saudi daily newspaper.

Adil Salahi teaches at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education, Leicester, England. After working for the BBC Arabic Service for several years, he worked for the Arabic daily, al-Sharq al-Awsat.

He continues to publish many Articles in various Publications including, Arab News, and many Online Publications.
